John 3:1-3 – Now there was a man of the Pharisees named Nicodemus, a member of the Jewish ruling council. He came to Jesus at night and said, "Rabbi, we know you are a teacher who has come from God. For no one could perform the miraculous signs you are doing if God were not with him. In reply Jesus declared, "I tell you the truth, no one can see the kingdom of God unless he is born again." (NIV)
Ms. Elliott-Binns was my religious knowledge teacher in high school. I remember her not because she gave me good grades in her class, but because of her exuberance while she taught religious studies to her sometimes disinterested students in a classroom full of young teenaged girls. She was a lovely, very knowledgeable person, a teacher full of life, delivering her exciting, animated messages about Jesus Christ to her students. She had studied theology and was prepared spiritually to teach in the all-girls school that I attended. It was obvious to me that Ms. Elliott-Binns loved the Lord. She knew how to deliver the good news to her students whether or not they were being open to learning about Jesus. She had me hooked on her every word!
During the last 26-plus years, I have received the benefits of solid spiritual guidance and knowledge from my amazing pastors, theologians, and teachers from God, who have dedicated their lives to teaching and preparing their congregations and classes in how and why we should follow Christ Jesus, and the benefits of turning to Christ Jesus to receive God's grace and mercy. I am deeply grateful to have had such good and faithful servants of God in charge of leading His people in the right direction.
1 John 4:9-10 – This is how God showed his love among us: He sent his one and only Son into the world that we might live through him. This is love: not that we loved God, but that he loved us and sent his Son as an atoning sacrifice for our sins. (NIV)
Each of us needs to look deep down into our heart to see how much God loves us and how loving, faithful, kind, and merciful He is. Even if no one else loves you, then let me tell you that God does. I believe that His love is the only love that we humans can count on. His love is the greatest gift to mankind — His love for you and me. All we can do is accept His love.
Do you sense God's love and presence in your heart today? Tell Him that you love Him, and see what happens to your heart after you have had that conversation with Him. Pray with me:
Prayer: Dear Lord Jesus, this is what I pray today, please open up our hearts and fill them with Your precious love. I love You, Lord Jesus, and I thank You for loving me first. Amen.

Thank you for a message that, personally speaking, gets more and more wonderful. Knowing His passionate love for his children helps me surrender the many inferior desires – such as human approvals, comforts, and so forth.

So true how close we feel the love of God when we take time to reflect on all His creations and closely absorb His words and directions through His loving Son, Jesus.
