Mark 10:51 – "What do you want me to do for you?" Jesus asked him. The blind man said, "Rabbi, I want to see." (NIV)

The other morning, I was reading in Mark, and when I came across this verse, it got me thinking. What would I ask for? Would I be so bold? Then, more questions came flooding into my mind. Do any of these questions come to mind?

       If Jesus Asked

If Jesus asked, "What can I do for you?"
How would you answer, what would you say?
Would your answer be for a healing
Or to give a loved one even one more day?
Would you ask for money and gold
Or to stay young and not grow old?
Would you ask to be given a child
Or for the ones you have, not to be disobedient and wild?
Would you ask for your children to be great in school
Or that everyone would live by the Golden Rule?
Would you ask that in all the world sin would be gone
That there would be no more sickness and life could go on?
Or maybe a big house and a fancy car
Or just to be content where you are?
If you want to be as rich as you can be
Look to the Bible and you will see
When you open your heart and accept your salvation
Then every day, you will have cause for a celebration.

Jeremiah 29:11 – "For I know the plans I have for you," declares the Lord, "plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future." (NIV)

Philippians 4:19 – And my God will meet all your needs according to his glorious riches in Christ Jesus. (NIV)

Prayer: Thank You, Jesus, that You are all that we need now and tomorrow. Help us to be thankful that You are faithful and will always be with us. Teach us to wait on You, Lord, for the things that You have planned for us, instead of wanting things yesterday. O God, where would we be without You? May Your Holy Spirit help us to do what You tell us that You want us to do for You! In Your precious name, we pray. Amen.
