Hebrews 4:12-13 – For the word of God is living and active. Sharper than any double-edged sword, it penetrates even to dividing soul and spirit, joints and marrow; it judges the thoughts and attitudes of the heart. Nothing in all creation is hidden from God's sight. Everything is uncovered and laid bare before the eyes of him to whom we must give account. (NIV)

We are amazed at all of the technology that has come into use in the past fifteen years, and we wonder what might be discovered, developed, and revealed within the next very few years. God created the cosmos with all of the possibilities for all of the current technological discoveries and developments built into it.

We don't usually think of God as using technology. But shouldn't we? He can surely use or replay whatever He chooses of His own.

Sometimes, regarding a particular matter, two individuals, two groups of persons, or an individual and a group, might have differing opinions about what was said or what was seen on certain occasions. These differences can separate people for years and cause great injustices to occur. Yet, we can be certain that God, Who sees all and knows all, knows precisely what the truth is, and He wants His people to live with truth and in peace. Jesus said, "You will know the truth, and the truth will set you free" (John 8:32). When the Pharisees criticized Jesus, we read that "Jesus knew their thoughts and said to them, 'Every kingdom divided against itself will be ruined, and every city or household divided against itself will not stand'" (Matthew 12:25). "Make every effort to live in peace." (Hebrews 12:14a).

To reveal what is right in His sight, God might choose to do His equivalent of re-playing technology. I am not saying that God will use videos, for instance, but I am saying that He might if He chooses to do so. And, most probably, God will use what He has always used so perfectly effectively — His own Word.

If a matter has not yet been agreed upon on earth, we can depend on God to bring to light all the truth that He chooses to reveal in the days and years to come, or when we are in heaven.

As we pray for and await the revelation of God's truth in particular matters, let us persevere and proceed according to the admonition of the writer to the Hebrews: "Let us fix our eyes on Jesus, the author and perfecter of our faith, who for the joy set before him endured the cross, scorning its shame, and sat down at the right hand of the throne of God. Consider him who endured such opposition from sinful men, so that you will not grow weary and lose heart" (Hebrews 12:2-3).

Prayer: Lord God, Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, thank You for being with us and continually opening up Your truths for our peace and joy. Help us ever to depend on the wisdom of Your Word and Your peace, offered freely in Jesus, Who gave His life for our peace. May we pass it on day by day. Amen.
