Here is a poem that I wrote:

My friend is a special person
Who accepts me the way I am.

My friend can see who I can be.
My friend laughs and cries with me.

My friend is always honest,
Even though the words spoken hurt me at times.

My friend listens patiently to all my problems
And does not give in to any of my lies.

My friend is forgiving and understanding
And adds a touch of love in everything I try.

My friend is there when I am in need.

Jesus, my friend, is that beautiful flower that
Never fades away
And I know I'll always treasure our friendship
From day to passing day.

Psalm 25:14 – The Lord is a friend to those who fear him. He teaches them his covenant. (NLT)

Proverbs 27:6 – Wounds from a sincere friend are better than many kisses from an enemy. (NLT)

Revelation 3:20 – Look! I stand at the door and knock. If you hear my voice and open the door, I will come in, and we will share a meal together as friends. (NLT)

Dear reader, you may be going through a hard time right now. You may feel that you are all alone and think that no one understands you or is listening to you. Remember, there is someone who is closer to you than any other friend; His name is Jesus. He is the One Who understands what you are going through. All you have to do is talk to Him. He will listen.

Prayer: Dear Jesus, thank You for being our closest friend. You understand each one of us and see what is in our hearts. You comfort us in our deepest sorrow and forgive us whatever we have done. Thank You. Amen.
