Because I'm intolerant of wasted time, in the past, I didn't handle well being let down in agreed arrangements or any other time-broken promises, especially those without any prior notice. It's the wasted waiting time that I objected to most. My solution was to form the habit of always having with me something important and enjoyable to do or having an alternative place to go — no more wasted time!

The other good news is that I'm an absolute fanatic regarding giving and keeping my word. I love the comfort of people knowing that I will do what I've said, or that they'll be informed ahead of time should something unforeseen occur.

The very best news, though, is that our great and perfect God meticulously keeps all the appointed times He has arranged. Nothing unforeseeable ever happens to His appointed plans and times. I love Him for this — not a single second is wasted, and all time can be appropriately used in God's kingdom.

Ecclesiastes 3:2a – There is a time to be born. (NIRV)

Proverbs 30:5 – Every word of God is perfect. (NIRV)

There is a God-appointed perfect "time to be born" for every one of us, and it's the Word and will of God which is the deciding factor of our birth time. As well, God appointed the country, the location, and every detailed circumstance, at His pre-planned time. Our birth and life is another wondrous event in history, brought about by God's plan, purpose, and pleasure.

When we are willing to believe that our Father has a specific plan for our birth and life, and we accept it, we begin to understand that His callings are unique for each of us. This certainly helps to explain why we may at times feel separate or different from others; possibly be seen as out of step or a loner; be misunderstood or misinterpreted; or be thought of as peculiar, weird, over-the-top, eccentric, or reclusive.

But when we become willing to merge our will with His, He shows us in secret and personal revelations, as well as through His confirming Word, that this is all in His wonderful plan to shape each of us into His refined vessel — a vessel especially fitting for His personal purpose and blessed use, not only here on earth, but in heaven, too.

2 Corinthians 4:7 – However, we possess this precious treasure [the divine Light of the Gospel] in [frail, human] vessels of earth, that the grandeur and exceeding greatness of the power may be shown to be from God and not from ourselves. (AMP)

As we progress in knowing and agreeing with God's timings, plans, and callings, we become enthused, energetic, and gratefully inspired to square our shoulders and lift our heads, hearts, and surrendered hands in praise and worship, knowing that all that God creates never fails to fulfill His precious purposes.

Psalm 33:11 – But the plans of the Lord stand firm forever, the purposes of his heart through all generations. (NIV)

All that God creates is perfect or will be perfected into His purposes by His graciously patient, gentle hands. Without any pressure at all, He allows us time to learn progressively to believe in His best and to rest blessedly in His perfect timing, love, purpose, and plan for the life He has uniquely designed for each of us.

Hebrews 4:11 – Let us do our best to go into that place of rest, too, being careful not to disobey God as the children of Israel did, thus failing to get in. (TLB)

Prayer: Praise You, our never failing Creator God. Thank You for recalling to our minds again that our surrender to You and Your purposes, plans, and will, is the best plan that we could ever agree to. Blessed holy God, thank You again for our exceedingly abundant, purposeful lives. Amen and Amen!
