How the time passes! It seems only a little while ago that I purchased my tomato plants, and then around the 24th of May, I planted them in my garden.

This year, I did what was recommended: I rotated my crop — all twelve plants.

Tenderly, I placed each one in what I would call crowded conditions, as my garden area is quite small, and I knew the plants would grow several times larger. Yet, I fertilized them, put in stakes, and kept tying them to the stakes until the plants hid them from view.

Then, something caught my eye, and I exclaimed, "My garden tomatoes — they're all different!" I had bought them for what they were called: "Ultra boy". The label said that, at maturity, these tomatoes would weigh between one to two pounds.

What I ended up with was a variety: some were small clusters of "Tom Thumbs", others were plum tomatoes, and the rest were the "Ultra boy" tomatoes — the ones I thought I had purchased.

Though they are all different, the variety serves as a delight when they are picked and placed on the table!

As Christians, no matter how we look, what we do, how important we are, or what are the different denominations and ways in which we worship — we all strive to serve the same God and be a delight to our Maker.

Psalm 37:4 – Delight yourself in the Lord and he will give you the desires of your heart. (NIV)

Prayer: Dear Father in heaven, we come to worship in all humility. Though we have different gifts and different ways to serve, and we are different in the works we do for You, our spirits join together to delight in You as we come to pray and give thanks, in Jesus' name. Amen.
