Some of my family and friends quite like reunions. While I'm not a proponent of regular reunions, attending one once in awhile is a good thing. It connects us with those with whom we may have lost touch over the years.

In this day of cyberspace, there are so many online forums where people have re-connected with friends from their past, found relatives they didn't know they had, and made new friends by connecting with friends of friends, all the while enabling them to keep in touch.

Today marks Daily's twelfth year, and while I know it's not possible for a physical Daily reunion, it would be nice to know where some of the writers from the first early years are and what they've been doing since.

Every once in awhile, a devotional will come up by someone from those early years. We were a close little bunch in those days. Writing, especially for others to read, was new to most of us, and we sometimes bandied our ideas about, but most of all, we encouraged and supported each other.

It is known that a couple of writers have passed away, but there are some who have moved on, and it just would be nice were we to have an online reunion of sorts: something like a Where Are They Now check-in; mostly just a re-connection to know that each is okay.

As long as the Internet and/or e-mail is working, Daily is always here, so we are easy to find.

God, however, is the one constant in our lives who is always there for us. No electronics or technicians are needed. Any reunions with Him must come from us. We must make the call, and in so doing, even in those times when we may feel He has turned away from us, we are assured that He is at the other end.

Prayer: Our Father in heaven, we give thanks that You are our constant companion. Even when we may wander away, You are with us for the asking. Guide us to keep a steady reunion with You in daily prayer and practice. Through Jesus Christ, our Lord, we pray. Amen.
