1 Peter 4:7 – But the end of all things is at hand; therefore be serious and watchful in your prayers. (NKJV)

I have been driving for just over thirty years. When I first began to drive, it was very rare to have to put your own gasoline in your car. Over the years, it has become harder and harder to come across full-service gas stations. Recently, our son joined the driving force, and he had to learn from day one how to put gasoline in the car.

Recently, my car was in for service, and we were given a rental. When it was time to return the rental, we went to the gas station to put gas in the car before returning it. As we pulled into the station, I began to look at the side of the car to determine on which side of the car the gas tank was to be found. Our son was driving, and he was not at all concerned as to which side of the car the tank was on, and pulled right up to the pump. I said to him, "How did you know which side of the car to pull up to for refuelling?" He said that he could tell by the arrow on the dash near the fuel gauge. Sure enough, there was an arrow pointing to the side of the car where the gas tank was located. Here comes the "I must admit" part: I had never noticed this feature on any car before!

People in the world without Jesus are also in need of the obvious being pointed out to them. As it was done by my son, it needs to be done in a loving and uplifting manner. The end of days is nearer, and we need to ensure that we are taking all the opportunities to make the most of showing the light of Jesus to the world.

Philemon 1:6 – That the sharing of your faith may become effective by the acknowledgment of every good thing which is in you in Christ Jesus. (NKJV)

Prayer: Dear Lord, help us to be people who at all times are aware of the non-obvious as well as the obvious in our lives. Help us always to recognize that You are the source of all the good gifts in our lives. As we go about our day, it is our desire to be a witness, pointing others to Jesus. In His name, we pray. Amen.
