John 14:6 – Jesus said to him, "I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me". (NKJV)

I don't know about your wallet or purse, but mine contains discount cards, membership cards, cards that say who I am, and cards that allow me to receive health care and medical treatment. Most important are the cards that I use for blessing people.

Recently, I was shopping at a place that required me, upon checking out, to show one of these cards. As I was flipping through the cards, someone asked me about one particular card that I had. It was a card with a picture of Jesus standing at a door, with the following Scripture on the back of the card:

Revelation 3:20 – Behold, I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears My voice and opens the door, I will come in to him and dine with him, and he with Me. (NKJV)

I took the card out and read it to the individual who had asked me about it. The person looked quite perplexed. I explained that I carry this card, and others like it, in my wallet to bless other people as Jesus blesses me. I said that I usually leave them on the tables in restaurants and in hotels as I feel led. I offered the card to the person, and it was received.

We all go through our days busying ourselves with activities in which we are involved. Meanwhile, let's remember to listen for God's voice prompting us, through the Holy Spirit, to share the gospel with others.

Prayer: Lord Jesus, thank You for the opportunities we are given to bless other people. Help us to be sensitive to Your Holy Spirit in our lives, and to act on Your behalf in response to Your leading. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
