Matthew 19:14 – But Jesus said, "Let the little children come to Me, and do not forbid them; for of such is the kingdom of heaven." (NKJV)

One day recently at our church, we had a guest speaker who represented Gospel for Asia Missions. He showed us a video of a young missionary named Joseph who was trying to tell the people about the Lord. The people in the area he was sent to serve were not very receptive to hearing the Word of God. After two years, with much fasting and knocking on doors, he was ready to give up. Yet the Lord told him to stay there, as that is where He wanted him to serve. One day, Joseph decided to deliver his message to the children. To his amazement, the children were excited and happy at hearing the good news. They listened and sang praises to the Lord and enjoyed every minute of it. Their excitement and enthusiasm about Jesus got their parents' attention, and then they started to listen to what Joseph had to say.

Matthew 21:15-16 – But when the chief priests and scribes saw the wonderful things that He did, and the children crying out in the temple and saying, "Hosanna to the Son of David!" they were indignant and said to Him, "Do You hear what these are saying?" And Jesus said to them, "Yes. Have you never read, 'Out of the mouth of babes and nursing infants you have perfected praise'?" (NKJV)

As I listened to this talk, I immediately thought about the words "and a little child shall lead them". (Isaiah 11:6 NKJV) I took it further in my mind. Christ was not just talking about children young in years, but the older children in His family: you and I. We are His children, and we have a mission to lead unbelievers to the cross, so others will find salvation in Jesus Christ.

Prayer: Heavenly Father, thank You that we live in a country where we are able to hear Your Word whenever we want to. Encourage those of us who are so privileged to carry the Word to unbelievers. May we show others by our actions and not just our voices and money that You will receive all those who repent and have faith in You. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
