Mark 4:14 – The sower sows the word. (NKJV)

As followers of Jesus, we know that He has the ability to turn the ordinary into the extraordinary.

An errand was needed to collect a few donuts and cookies for an early morning meeting. What was to be a regular stop on a regular Saturday morning turned into the sowing of seeds. The clerk who was serving me had tried to place the cookies into a box that was too small, and the other clerk was teasing her about this. I also joked that I would be back the next week to check on her cookie packing.

She then said that she would not be there the next week. I said, "Oh — are you going on holiday?" Her reply was, "No, I am not going on holiday," and she went on to say that probably not in this lifetime would she be going on holiday. Then she added that maybe in her next lifetime, she would marry someone with a very good job and have five children and stay at home.

She had no sooner finished saying this, when out of my mouth came the following: "I know a way for you to have eternal life, and spend eternity with Jesus, and He can fulfill your every need." She smiled at me, and the clerk working next to her said, "Amen."

Isaiah 61:11 – For as the earth bringeth forth her bud, and as the garden causeth the things that are sown in it to spring forth; so the Lord God will cause righteousness and praise to spring forth before all the nations. (KJV)

Prayer: Dear Jesus, thank You for the opportunities to be a witness for You. Please help us to be aware of the moment when we can exalt Your name and bring light into a dark world. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
